Sanyasi was in need of some help for an orphanage he was running. He came to see the king of the realm and was told that he was in his prayer room, offering worship to God.
Quickly, the Sanyasi came and stood outside the door of the room. He heard the king pray “So bless me, lord, that my years on earth may multiply, my wealth may increase, the border of my realm may
widen evermore….!”
Hearing this prayer, the Sanyasi turned to go. And when they asked him, “O holy man! Why are you going away without meeting the king?”
He answered. “I did not know, I was coming to beg from one who is himself a beggar! From today I shall beg of Him at whose door even kings stand as beggars!”
